Painting is a state of consciousness condensed in visual language. One of the challenges of this series, The Pink Series, is to cause language to emerge naturally from the integrity of the self and not as a product of reason. When I say “integrity of the self”, I mean synchronicity of body, emotions and actions, assessed with inner certainty and guided by intuition.
In this series I seek dialogue and harmony between color and shapes. I want stains to emerge as the result of the imperious need of structure itself to become a balanced whole, with its colors, tones and structures, and, from time to time, those lines that hold together but at the same time burst into the softness of the pinks with the strength of the blacks. Starting a dialogue that fosters these two forces is one of my goals.
My work is not the product of reason. My work creates its own needs by existing in its achievements and enriching my conscience. As an artist knowledgeable of the plastic arts language, I immerse myself in the laws of emotion, intuition and the archetypical source of creative energy to play with the permanent certainty of the ephemeral.
The language of painting is a secret language. Unblocking and unveiling it takes time. A wonderful way to dialog with painting is dwelling in the visual metaphor and generating from such a commitment a dialogue that fosters the encounter of souls. We may be lucky, and beauty may find us, simply invite us to contemplate a world with no judgments, a mere visual poem.
Art consciously mirrors what each one of us has inside.
